Fixed On Fitness of Pensacola

About

FOF Owners - Kenzie and Josh Presnell

Fixed on Fitness was founded in 2007 by Kenzie and Josh Presnell. At the time FOF was founded, Pensacola was lacking a structured outdoor fitness program. Both native to Pensacola, they were interested in developing a company that offered something different than the normal gym routine. Josh, a former Search and Rescue Instructor for the US Navy, has always had a passion for fitness. He was a football player and State Weightlifting Champion in high school. Kenzie grew up as a competitive swimmer and avid athlete. Together, they developed Fixed on Fitness, Pensacola's original outdoor fitness program to help people in the community of Pensacola make fitness a priority for the rest of their lives.

At Fixed on Fitness, we believe in improving the fitness level of all clients through a personalized and fun approach to working out. We do not strive to help clients simply lose weight. We want to promote long-term lifestyle changes for our clients. We believe that a workout can be incredibly challenging and fun at the same time. We want to give our clients a physically demanding and will-building workout each time we meet with them.

Trainer - Josh Presnell

For seven years, Josh served in the United States Navy as a Search and Rescue Swimmer. During his last three years in the military, Josh had the opportunity to become a Master Training Specialist and a Search and Rescue Swimmer Instructor Trainer at NAS Pensacola. Josh was a stand out sailor in the Navy, receiving a Navy Commendation Medal, two Navy Achievement Medals, and was selected as Sailor of the Year in 2006. His experience in the military and his background in fitness make him an ideal fitness boot camp instructor.

Josh is a certified personal trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness, which is a nationally accredited organization for fitness professionals. He graduated from the University of West Florida in 2008 with a degree in Health Education. Josh has trained clients throughout the Pensacola area. He enjoys working with a variety of fitness levels and helping his clients reach their goals.

Josh has experience in training for and competing in a wide variety of sports. He has competed in powerlifting competitions, half marathons, a full marathon, 3 mile bridge swim, triathlons, adventure races, and various local races. Josh believes in taking a unique approach to fitness. He loves out of the box workouts that combine all aspects of fitness.

Community Involvement

At Fixed on Fitness, we believe in the importance of community involvement. In 2009, we started a program called FOF Gives Back. Through this program, FOF donates a portion of our profits to local charities. You can often find FOF Campers volunteering at local races, cooking for families at the Ronald McDonald House, or gathering items for victims of natural disasters.

We also promote "community" within our camps. We encourage campers to connect through our online community to find running partners, swap recipes, or just share ideas. At FOF, campers meet new friends, find new workout partners, network with other individuals, and encourage each other along the way.
